Tehran is ready to resume atomic negotiations with Washington on condition that it is approached with "dignity" and "honor", Iran's foreign minister has declared.

The Iranian diplomat stated exclusively dialogue worked, and shared new appeals had originated from go-betweens to resume discussions with the Trump administration. He said Iran possessed no secret atomic facilities, and Tehran was not yet able to allow the global atomic watchdog to inspect bombed nuclear sites for security reasons.

Navigating a Complex Course

Araghchi is navigating a challenging course since Iran wishes not to be perceived to be acting from a stance of disadvantage, and he insisted repeatedly that Iran had come out more resilient in military terms and mentally from the coordinated strike on its enrichment centers in June.

He was addressing at a defense forum in Tehran where he reiterated that Iran had "an inalienable right to enrich uranium on home soil that it will always maintain" – the key factor of the deadlock in the prior discussions.

Previous Discussions Abruptly Concluded

The earlier sessions of negotiations between the US and Iran were ended suddenly and bitter termination on 12 June when Israel, with US support, attacked Iran's enrichment centers in a two-week conflict that culminated with the American leader asserting the facilities had been destroyed. Afterward, EU nations exercised their right to reinstate global restrictions, but Iran asserts they have not had a significant effect.

Ideal Resolution Proposed

Iran's diplomats stated they felt they had achieved a "magic solution" to the enrichment issue in earlier negotiations, when it was decided an Iran-based consortium with American involvement could refine atomic fuel. Both sides would have been able to declare success since home-based processing would have remained and the US could be certain that Iran's enrichment initiative was exclusively peaceful.

It had not been agreed in the negotiations that US nuclear scientists could operate on Iranian soil, but that was a logical implication of the consortium proposal. Representatives claimed repeatedly they had reached agreement with Washington's diplomat Steve Witkoff only for the arrangement to fall apart due to "detractors in America".

Current Situation

Iran's diplomats said the cooperative arrangement was now withdrawn, but it seems very probable the offer could be resurrected in some form if discussions resume.

The American leader in recent days stated he had been getting signals that Iran sought to restart talks, but in private Iran's diplomats say they are not yet getting consistent overtures from the United States either straightforwardly or from significant local go-betweens, such as Qatar, Egypt, Oman and Saudi Arabia. The Iranian foreign ministry has been criticized of inactivity in the face of the US president's straightforward manner, but Tehran says dialogue is not part of a performance.

Negotiating Stance

In his address to the forum, designed to paint the US as a dominant force that abuses the idea of global regulations, Araghchi stated the 12-day war demonstrated the conflict could not be ended by military means. He stated the attacks commenced with a Washington's ultimatum for an unconditional Iranian surrender and ended with an unconditional call for a ceasefire.

Iran is certain the opening assaults from Tel Aviv were mounted with full US knowledge and coordination, making trust difficult to restore.

Dialogue Continues the Ultimate Answer

Araghchi said: "It was not Iran that had fled negotiations; it was America and the European states that had always sought to enforce their desires during the talks. Dialogue can still be active and continues the primary answer to address disagreements, but its requirements, guidelines and principles must be respected."

Recovery and Rebuilding

In what is portrayed by Iranian officials as the battle of repair and recovery, the foreign minister said he was certain Iran's defence capabilities "have significantly improved than prior to 13 or 14 June of this year. He continued: "We effectively endured this engagement. Our atomic expertise, which they intended to destroy, remains in place.
